Well I realize the normally, people dont write journals twice in two days...but I am so DEAL! haha...
well you see, I feel very inspired today. An inspirational speaker came to my school today and well...he really inspired me. The thing is though-it wasnt just any kind of inspiration....like...most people that come in to talk to you talk about things like making your school better or to stop bullying...but none of that REALLY hit me. This poet spoke about things that Iv known all along, but have simply ignored as a part of me. In fact...these things were a HUGE part of me. He spoke to us about thought and how important your first thought and instinct were-and really-I knew all of this. but I denyed myself it. Him being there really inspired me to better myself as a person and not a better person to other people iether. but a better person to myself.
To really get ahead in life, you need to know and be completely comfortable and confident in yourself, because if you arent- then theres no point. You have to live life to really live and laugh to enjoy the life that youre living. You have to be true to your OWN HEART before you can be committed to another's. Because really...how can you love someone if you dont love yourself? And fact is...even though most of us think that we love ourselves...theres always that one little thing that we dont like. that small thing they wish was different. thats what you have to stop! ITS YOU! so get USED TO IT! love it! Love yourself like you love everything else! Embrace those slight imperfections...because in reality...they are not imperfections at all....on the contrary...they are the embodyment of perfection because perfection IS YOU! Go look in your mirror and smile because what you see staring back at you is a beautiful, and perfect creation that you have nurtured and made the way it is.
For all of you artists! Draw yourself! and dont make that small change to your nose or that extra line to give you higher cheeks or a smaller butt! draw it and make it look LIKE YOU. when you can do that...then youll be that extra step closer to oving yourself.
Poets! Write about yourself! write all those amazing things that you KNOW you have inside of you. Write about those things that you LOVE about yourself! and then write about the things that you might not be proud of. because wether youre proud of it or not...its you. and the choices you have made have made you that way. all you can do is accept it and move on. TELL YOURSELF THAT YOU WILL MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE...next time. and the time after that! and the time and and and.....
always make the first choice the right one.

Dont get me wrong...Im still not there...I have SO long to go before I can accept who I am...but the difference now..is that Im trying.
